The vegetable oil soaps by Savon du Midi are manufactured in the Provence in France.
Every wet felting process requires water, agitation, wool and soap.
This is my favorite soap for felting because it doesn't dry out your hands even after hours of wet felting.
The base soap is made of palm oil, coconut oil and olive oil from certified organic cultivation.
The olive soap is made without artificial colors and fragrances. Due to the balanced proportions of olive oil, palm oil and coconut oil creates a mild, refatting soap.
Bars available in following sizes:
80 g (approx. 2.8 oz) ( about the size of traditional bars of soap, has no decorations stamped on the soap - see third image)
SPECIAL OFFER: we have some bars of 80g soaps that have been chipped around the edges during shipping. We are offering them at a 10% discount.
300 g (approx. 10.6 oz)
600 g (approx. 21.1 oz)
The 300 g bar lasted me for about 6 years of felting with friends.
I’ve tried just about everything, but nothing is kinder to your hands and to your wool and silk than olive oil soap. It’s just the right pH to lift the scales of the wool, and to allow you to felt efficiently and effectively. I’m very happy with the sizes of soap offered here on Acorns & Twigs. If you’re not using it already, I recommend you give it a try.
So excited to be using soap especially made for wet felting. It truly does make a difference.
I found Acorns and Twigs by a blind search and have struck gold. I find them responsive and great to work with. Jennifer helped me work out a few hiccups and my order was then deliver quicker than I imagined. Give them a try.
Thank you so much Carla!!
